Description

Helix Single Mass Flywheel Performance Clutch Kit - VAG TFSi Platform

This Helix performance clutch kit is a popular choice for the 2.0 TFSi EA113 engine for those running TTE and Nortech big turbos.

Made in the UK its popularity is due to its pleasant pedal feel with great clamping pressure and superb build quality with Helix's new billet cover design using Helix's Single Mass Flywheel.

This kit is available in 2 options, please chose either an Organic drive plate or a 6 paddle drive plate.

Helix rate the Organic at 349lbft static and the Paddle at 388lbft static torque.  However we have found that the Helix clutches have been able to handle up to 480 lbft on the Organic while the 6 paddle up to 500 lbft. The organic drive plate will offer a slight improvement in drivability while the paddle is for those who plan to launch more frequently and do not mind the more "grabby" feel.

The kit will include:
  • Helix Organic Or Paddle Sprung Drive Plate (Please Choose From Drop List) - 70-4611 or 77-4611
  • Helix Single Mass Flywheel With Bolts - HF9289
  • Helix Billet Pressure Plate Cover With Bolts - 60-4610
  • Helix Uprated Clutch Slave Cylinder - 41-4621
  • AKS Slave Cylinder Shim Kit

Please note

with single mass flywheels there is a possibility of flywheel chatter on idle and downshift squeaks, this is totally normal and does not affect the function of the clutch.

As performance clutches create a heavier pedal over stock due to a higher spring clamping pressure we recommend also purchasing our braided clutch line which can help high RPM shifts when the OEM expands from heat and/or higher pressure. This can be found here

When installing Helix single mass flywheels, the centre bore of the flywheel will need heating up to be fitted. They are designed to be a very tight fitment and require the heat to expand, then cool and shrink over the end of the crankshaft.
