AKS VAG Solid Shifter Bushing Set For Cable Ends

Our AKS VAG Solid Shifter Bushes are designed to replace the OE rubber bushes located at the end of the gear linkage cables on pretty much any manual VAG group vehicle.

The stock bushes not only wear and perish over time, they have voids in the factory material which can lead to a sloppy feel during gear shifts. Our solid bush kits have no voids and are made out of a solid block of metal, they come in 4 €˜types' depending on what gear shift cables and side to side shifters are fitted on your car from the factory.

This is the process to workout which €˜type' will be right for your vehicle.

Step 1

There are 2 different types of side shifter, the difference is the material its made from, plastic or metal.

For vehicles with plastic side to side shifters, you will need either type 2 or type 4

For vehicles with metal side to side shifters, you will need either type 1 or 3

Step 2

Measure the internal diameter of the factory bushes fitted, and determine which style cable ends you have, the last picture on this listing shows the difference between the rectangle and the round cable ends.

Purchasing this way will mean you have x4 surplus bushes once you have fitted the correct 4. Which you have the choice to keep, sell on privately, or if within 28 days of the date on the invoice (purchase date) you can send back to us for a refund, under our normal Terms and conditions
