In the oil pumps on the VAG TFSi EA113 engines there are balance shafts.
These shafts are designed to help dampen engine sound to reduce cabin or external noise.
While the intention was good, its not that effective and brought a feature that can cause issues resulting in catastrophic failure.
The failure in question is the balance shafts themselves seizing which stops the oil pump from working completely starving the engine of oil resulting in your engine being damaged.
On high power applications and forged engines this is a highly recommended modification.
What makes this different over the standard pumps is the balance shafts are removed and the oil channels are modified. This is all carried out on a genuine pump.
There is a lot discussion with using the old 1.8T 20V oil pumps. With that modification it involves a lot of work including drilling and tapping oil lines into the block itself.
This hassle can be avoided with the TFSi balance shaft delete mod as its a simple bolt in job.
There 2 ways of purchasing this modification.
1. Send us your Oil Pump first and then we send you a modified pump
2. Pay a £600 surcharge fee and upon return of your current pump we will refund that.
These options can be selected from the drop menu above.
Please note your TFSi returned pump must be in full working order to qualify for the exchange
Also displayed in the in picture is the Vis Main Pinion Sprocket. This is not included with the pump but can be purchased HERE
3 month current lead time to complete the modification upon date of order.
