Genuine Audi R8 Valve Spring Kit For TFSi/TSi - 06E109623AH

Full valve train kits are not cheap, fact. But, but for bigger power engine builds they are required to prevent valve float on the EA113 TFSI engine.

We have been testing a more affordable solution using Genuine R8 valve springs on the TFSi engines, and also the Gen 1 2.0 TSI engine. The results have proven positive! The R8 valve springs when used with the shims, are around 20% stiffer than standard TFSI valve springs.

We used this kit on our own Pirelli edition MK5 GTI, which has a stock BYD engine but suffered valve float when mapping to stage 2+ with an Anti surge core (ASC). However, the R8 valve spring kit is a great alternative to full valve train kits to help keep the budget down when doing a forged engine build.

Please Note 

- If you order the shim kit alone, or the full valve spring & shim kit you will recieve x16 shims, you use x2 shims per exhaust valve when fitting. NOT X1 shim for all inlet and exhaust valves, or x16 shims on the inlet valves!!

- The shims are required to increase pre-load on the exhaust valve side with this setup!

- The R8 valve springs are a genuine Audi part, the shims are an aftermarket part created for this use case!
