Individual Parts Info

Freewheel -

The VIS Freewheel is one of the most popular modifications for the EA113 2.0 TFSI engines, it deals with a common issue and helps prevent future failures by replacing the standard cog and deactivating the balance shafts externally, allowing the oil pump chain to spin without extra resistance, reducing the risk of the oil pump chain failing causing catastrophic engine failure!

Oil Pick Up Pipe  -

The oil pick up pipe is at the bottom of the engine in the oil pan and attaches to the balance shaft assembly itself. It has a built-in mesh / strainer that prevents debris being pulled into the engine from the pump – overtime these get blocked up and can also cause oil pump issues! We always recommend changing them when you have the sump off.

Pick Up Pipe Seal -

You will need to replace the seal when you replace the pick-up pipe, this ensures no leaks after fitting.

The Dirko sealant is the one we use in our own workshop for sealing the sump to the bottom of the engine.

Important, Please Note!

This bundle is only suitable for transverse engined EA113 TFSI platform vehicles! If you have an Audi A4 B7 EA113 TFSI with a longitudinal engine fitted everything in this bundle will fit, except for the pick up pipe. You would instead need 06F115251B
