AKS / iABED Industries Gen 3 & 4 TSi Oil Cooler Adapter Plate Kit With Thermostat

The iABED Industries Gen 3 & Gen 4 TSi Oil Cooler Adapter Plate Kit With Built In Thermostat is designed to aid with the notorious oil cooling issues that plague the EA888 line of engines. The OEM heat exchange is inadequate in maintaining oil temperatures below 240*F (115 *C). The common consensus is when using vehicles on track in extreme heat oil temperatures can rise above 275*F causing the driver to back off for fear of causing permanent damage. AKS / iABED's basic solution allows the user to remove the OEM heat exchanger and run an adapter plate to allow the use of external air cooled oil control products.

This revised version of the kit now includes a built in thermostat for greater control over the oil cooler, meaning it will only operate when temperatures require it, as opposed to functioning and cooling oil all of the time the engine is running.

What's included in the kit?

In the base kit you get AN8 take off fittings, bunged ready to fit. It also comes with alternator extension mounts and bolts, if your model requires this. As well as of course the adapter plate.

x1 19 row Mocal oil cooler

x2 120 degree fittings

x2 90 degree fittings

3 metres of Startlite Nomex hose

It is important to note as the optional self build oil cooler kit can fit on a multitude of vehicles, the kit does not include any brackets or fixings of any kind to bolt the oil cooler to the car. You will need to make these / have these made to suit your car separately.
