AKS / Genuine VW Modified Lowering Top Mount Kit For Transporter T5, T5.1, T6 & T6.1 - AKSTRANSTMK

If you own a Transporter and are changing / upgrading your suspension to lower the vehicle, a great option to help lower the ride height even further is to fit modified top mount plates, using genuine, modified parts to get the front of your van sitting that bit lower. These plates will help to lower the vehicle by around 10mm on the front end.

This works by using the T6 top mount plate, which is slightly thinner in its design compared to older variants on T5 / T5.1 models. Then taking the part and machining the outer diameter of it right down on our lathe. This enables the van to sit that extra bit lower than stock, or if you fit the same part number but unmodified. You can clearly see the difference between the modified parts and the factory original in the pictures on this listing.

Using the dropdown options, you can select to order just a pair of the modified top plates, or a kit including the top strut housings, bearings, and the modified top plates - Either option provides you with a pair of the parts ordered, to fit to the front of your Transporter.

If you order just the top plates, £20 of the cost covers the machining we carry out on site here to modify the components, to enable the vehicle to sit lower.

If you order the full kit, we do not add any machining charge so saves you £20, rather than purchasing the other parts elsewhere, then purchasing our modified top plates. The cost of the parts is the recommended RRP that VW commercial advise.
