AKS Nylon Spacer For Revo TFSI Intake (RT992M200701) - AKSINS

We must have sold thousands of Revo intakes over the years, the TFSI intake from Revo is widely accepted as the best, most free flowing air intake on the market for the 2.0 TFSI EA113 platform. That said, there is one thing that we have always wanted to improve upon, and with the recent addition of a lathe to our workshop now we can on a mass scale!

The revo intake mounts onto the cam chain side casing in a way that requires a small spacer to help seat the bolt inside the hole, for everything to locate and fit together properly. We have always felt that the spacer that comes in the kit could be bettered, so we set out to make our own. After some trials and testing on various TFSI platform vehicles in our workshop, and feedback from customers with the intake kits fitted, we have found our spacer solves the location issue and locates the intake pipe in place when fitted.

Its a very small, simple change but one that is very effective. We are seeing more and more intakes get damaged on this threaded section during customer installation, or a few weeks / months after install then experiencing issues / thread stripping etc. The spacer should help to prevent the risk of anything occuring as it further seats the intake to the cam chain side casing over the provided shim included with the intake kit. We have never had an issue with any intake kits fitted here at AKS without our spacer, however we still find that our spacer helps to locate and secure.
