This pair of front brake lines is specifically for those with a MK5 GTI / ED30 / 8P A3, that is having the popular OEM plus upgrade / retrofit of the 8P S3, MK5 R32, Or MK6 R front calipers & larger discs fitted.

This pair of front brake lines will NOT be suitable if you have a MK5 GTI with standard front brake calipers!! - Please see the listing for the standard lines to suit the OEM calipers - Here

From factory, the larger S3/R32 calipers have a metal hard line, that goes to the flexi section, then from the flexi to the factory body lines. This braided line deletes the factory hard line on the caliper, mounting straight to the caliper itself. Therefore the line will be longer than an OE line and use a banjo fitting to go straight into the body of the caliper, rather than a screw fitting to go on the small section of hardline. If you wish to retain the factory caliper hardline this is possible, but is a custom line we would need to make specially to suit. Please contact us for more details on this!
