Genuine VAG Engine Bay Sound Absorber - MK5 / MK6 Golf Models - 1K0863993K
This sound absorber sits in the rear of the engine bay, circled in the picture above on a 2.0 TFSI MK5 GTI engine bay.
Its quite common to see these look tattered and damaged as time goes by, they are really easy to replace on a stock vehicle, slighlty more fiddly on vehicles with a front strut brace or turbo heatshield etc. This sound absorber is held secure on two fixed studs using 2 circulaur clamping washers (not included with the trim, clamping washers available seperately as part number N90796502)
